Friendly Noise and Violence Vol. 95
April 24 - Burial (Germany), Lotus Fucker, Ectoplasm (FL), Dead Peasants, Landbridge (FL) at Barclay House

Burial (Germany)
Germany's finest lovers of Japanese hardcore. First two 7"s and first LP are GREAT GREAT GREAT, at the time they were amongst my most listened to records. Powerful, well-written, well-played hardcore punk. Great riffs, great songs, great sound and style. I bought every shirt, tagged along on their Japan tour for a moment, I still have the note from Flo when I mailordered the second 7", saying "You are the first person in America to own and hear this record" LOL. I'm really thrilled to see this band again!!

Lotus Fucker
The eternal hardcore radiance. First gig in 5 months. First gig with the new line-up. Nerve-racking.

Ectoplasm (FL)
New FL noise hype. From the crew that brought you Mauser and Hellkontroll, now they choose Sore Throat as the subject of their adoration. Caught them on home turf when I was out with Inservibles and they were quite killer, excited to see them now on my home turf.

Dead Peasants
kvlt shit.

Landbridge (FL)
Tampa city kang style d-beat.

All this at Barclay House on Wednesday, April 24, 8 PM, $7.
Excitement.

Kremlin (Canaduh) + Merciless Game on April 21!

Well hot damn everybody,

Right after these two:

Friendly Noise and Violence Vol. 92
March 26 - Hero Dishonest (Finland), Enemy Insects, Burning Axe at sidebar

Friendly Noise and Violence Vol. 93
April 7 - At the Graves, Curmudgeon (MA), Howling Curse, Meat at Bell Foundry

Comes this one:

Friendly Noise and Violence Vol. 94
April 21 - Kremlin (Canada), Merciless Game, Chaos Destroy +1 at Club K

The first of THREE HOT SHIT SHOWS OF SPRINGTIME 2013.....

Kremlin (Canada)
Straight outta Toronto, featuring some of the folks from School Jerks (GREAT BAND). Bands like this are the reason I stay excited about hardcore. Great deranged and fucked up noise that references all the classics and fits nicely into the genre without being a simplistic tribute or copycat. Adding to the cannon of hardcore punk. Really excited to see them.

Merciless Game (Baltimore + Detroit)
Our first local Baltimore gig in 5 years. I can't believe it!!! In 2008 we played at Barclay House, and that was the last time we played in Baltimore. Five years later, five line-up changes, records, tours, etc.....we're finally playing Baltimore again. Feels good. I really love being in this band.

Also playing, Chaos Destroy (only cool Baltimore band right now) and maybe 1 more....

This all goes down at Club K at 9 PM, for $6.
Excitement.

CURMUDGEON (MA) on April 7!!

Hello world,

let's go let's go let's go let's go.

soon after Hero Dishonest (see below) is this one:

Friendly Noise and Violence Vol. 93
April 7 - At the Graves, Curmudgeon (MA), Howling Curse, Meat at Dishaus

Curmudgeon (MA)

3-piece power violence unit with a hint of the harder side of hardcore. Feels like a part of Baltimore that I always ask to play my gigs and always get blown off by. Oh well, whatever. Anyway, band is good.

supporting them will be At The Graves (best Baltimore metal band), Howling Curse (first 'real' show?), and Meat (aka Wet Brain aka Chickenheads aka Dicks In My Eyes aka they can't decide, my fav new local band).

All this for $5 at Dishaus, on April 7, at 9 PM.

Later in April I've got 3 gigs in a row that are the must-see gigs of the season.....but I'll get to that in a little. For now, let's focus our moshing energies on Hero Dishonest and Curmudgeon. =)

Hero Dishonest (Finnish fastcore veterans) return to Baltimore!!

Hello world,

Okay, still a bit away, but....whatever. The time is always now.

Friendly Noise and Violence Vol. 92
March 26 - Hero Dishonest (Finland), Enemy Insects, Burning Axe at sidebar

 Hero Dishonest (Finland)
Long-running fast hardcore band, touring America a second time on a brand new LP. Known around the world for being a live band first and foremost, so I am interested to see if they live up to their reputation. https://soundcloud.com/hero-dishonest Hear a song there.

Enemy Insects and Burning Axe are also going to play, as the resident Baltimore fast bands. This show is a prime listening experience for those with a need for speed!!

It'll be at sidebar at 9 PM on March 26, and will be $6 at the door. yeahhh.

April and May are going to be BIG, tons of shows for tons of great bands.....but more on that as time goes on. =)

Pissbath (TN) with Chaos Destroy, Endless Bummer next month

Hello world,

so February will probably be known as the month we send our favorite local staples out on the road for a month.....but while they're gone, we can still have a super happy fun time !!

Friendly Noise and Violence Vol. 91
Feb 19 - Pissbath (TN), Chaos Destroy, Endless Bummer at Club K

Pissbath (TN)
A couple young kids making some high energy noisy punk. I saw this band on home turf when I was out with Inservibles. They played for about 5 minutes. Totally brilliant, full of promise and potential. see them on the ground floor, with every passing gig they'll refine their art more and get better and better.

supporting them will be the ultimate masters of noisy punk, Chaos Destroy, and another beloved local staple, Endless Bummer. Nice gig! short and sweet so everybody can be ready for work in the morning.

This gig is at Club K, will start at 9 PM, for $5.
